Marathons
My running journey completing ten marathons and going for the World Marathon Majors medal.

The Starting Line
I ran my first marathon in 2013 at the iconic New York City Marathon. Crossing all five boroughs, cheered on by thousands of strangers, was an unforgettable introduction to long-distance running. I woke up early in the morning to take the Staten Island Ferry and connected with several strangers along the way. I still remember the overwhelming joy of crossing the finish line in Central Park — tired but exhilarated.
Chasing Goals
Since then, I’ve run 11 marathons, each with its own unique challenges and triumphs. Every race has been a journey of endurance, resilience, and self-discovery. Running reminds me that progress comes through persistence — mile after mile, step after step. My favorite part of each race is running by a family member or friend who is cheering me on! I am also energized by the spectators that show up for each race, and their funny signs definitely give me a little boost.

A World-Class Dream
I’m currently working toward earning the World Marathon Majors medal: I have five out of six stars, and the Tokyo Marathon is all that's left. The World Marathon Majors are a series of six of the most prestigious marathons in the world: Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City. Runners who complete all six earn the coveted Six Star Finisher medal, symbolizing global marathon achievement.
More Than a Race
Marathon running isn’t just about finishing times, it’s about the process. I know, because I'm a slow poke. It’s where I find clarity, test my limits, and celebrate the power of determination. Each race is a test of my mental strength and how far I am able to push myself.
